Golfweek recently published their 2014 list of the “Top Courses You Can Play in America” along with a breakout of the best courses by State. The state of South Carolina is blessed with some awesome courses, and among the top 15 courses in the State are four Waccamaw Golf Trail courses — Caledonia (#3), Heritage (#7), True Blue Golf Club (#9) and TPC Myrtle Beach (#11).

The Waccamaw Golf Trail offers a collection of 11 award-winning courses located along the southern shores of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand. Most all are built upon the sites of former colonial plantations, where centuries old oak trees and tidal rivers carry you back in history.

“The rankings by Golfweek speak to the quality of golf along the Waccamaw Golf Trail,” remarks John Rusher, Executive Director of the Waccamaw Golf Trail. “And the golf is complemented by outstanding restaurants and accommodation choices.” For these reasons, more and more golfers are opting for stay-and-play packages on the Waccamaw Golf Trail, arriving by air through Myrtle Beach International or Charleston, SC.
