This award-winning Tom Jackson design boasts a 4.5-star rating in Golf Digest's “Guide to Best Places to Play In America.” It features water on practically every hole, which fortunately does not, or maybe we say, “should not” come into play. The par-4's are among the most challenging on the Waccamaw Golf Trail, but the par-3's and par-5's offer an opportunity to recover. The par-5 18th is regarded among the most thrilling finishing holes at the Beach, offering dramatic risk-reward route to an excellent opportunity for birdie or eagle. Many bets are won and lost on the the 18th at River Club.
Coming in at around 6,700-yard from the back tees, River Club requires a combination of precision and distance. It deserves its place among the region's premier courses, built upon a former rice estate.
